Aditya Gopinath is the guitar player in Bhayanak Maut one of India's premier heavy metal bands. Bhayank Maut rose to fame with their appearence on Channel V's launchpad where they bagged the 2nd place. They have played shows all across the country and have headlined every major festival like 'Great Indian Rock Festival' and 'Independence Rock'. The band recently also released their debut album in 2009 at the Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai. The album received rave reviews world over and their song 'Blasted Beyond Belief' even got featured on the Metal Hammer Magazine compilation. Aditya is known for his spot on rhythm playing and chunky downtuned guitar sound. Don't miss the chance to learn from one of the best.

Jai Row Kavi has played with diverse musicians and bands with various genres ranging from, Rock Bands like Zero, AFS, and Vayu, Metal Bands like Pin Drop Violence, 13th Hour and Bhayanak Maut to Electro Pop with Func Intl., Pentagram, Distil Soul and Ashu Pathak. He has performed concerts and recorded with Bollywood Artists like Vishal-Shekhar, Shruti Haasan and Bappi & Bappa Lahiri and even played Indian fusion music with Rahul Sharma. Currently he is recording and performing with Indus Creed’s Uday Benegal, pop/rock group Tough on Tobacco, The Naina Kundu Trio, Nick Frey and Tribute shows with Luke Kenny. The famous Inferno Metal Festival in Norway will have our very own hardcore wonders SCRIBE performing alongside VOMITORY and SPEARHEAD on the 31st of March 2010 at BLÅ in Oslo !!There are a lot of amazing bands which will be performing at the festival a complete list of artists are available on the festival’s artist webpage.

Rudra is all geared up to make 2010 a great year. Firstly, the re-release of The Aryan Crusade (with bonus tracks), to be released by Trinity Music HK, will be available by the middle of February.

Secondly the band will hit the studio next month to start work on the 3rd and final chapter to the Brahmavidya Trilogy and you will be pleased to know that the band has already completed 11 songs. Kathir shared that the songs sound like a blend of Brahmavidya: Primordial I and Kurukshetra.

The gig was scheduled for 20th December, 2009 at Ravindramanch. Due to permission issues, it was postponed. Now, it’s on the 10th of January, 2010, at the lush back lawns in Hotel Clarks Amer, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. The previous line up is now also headlined by none other than Undying Inc, of New Delhi.

Delhi’s very own new metalers Frequency also headlines this event.

At the sound console will be none other than Grey himself for this event.

Experimental alternative punksters The Circus have released First Cut, a sampler of their upcoming album From Space! The CD contains songs off the album, a bunch of killer remixes and topped off with an audacious cover of Black Eyed Peas!

The CD will be available at the Great Indian Rock festival 2009. To get your copy, look for Shashwat or Ashwin at the Grey and Saurian stall, and you shall have it. It costs a mere Rs 100. You can also get exclusive Undying Inc and Bhayanak Maut merchandise at the stall.

Artillerie - Album Teaser and EP Download!

New Delhi-based metalcore stalwarts Artillerie have just put up their New Offensive EP for download from GimmeSound, which was produced by Grey and Saurian partner Anupam. In addition to this, the band have uploaded a rough teaser of the new upcoming album on their MySpace page. The song is called "Life To These Bones", and was tracked and mixed by Keshav at the production house.

The band will also be featured on the Flaming Skull Podcast on August 29, 2009!

First off, thanks for the overwhelming response to the Bhayanak Maut album - it really has been a wonderful ride, and we're very happy that it has been received so well.

For those who aren't aware, the album is available in two packages - as a digipack and a deluxe box set. The digipack is the regular album package, and the box set consists of the digipack, a Bhayanak Maut signature postcard and a Bhayanak Maut signature wallet.

The album is priced at Rs 300, and the box set at Rs 500. Shipping charges are Rs 50 extra for each.

Here's how to go about buying the album:

Grey and Saurian along with Appy Fizz are thrilled to announce the release of Bhayanak Maut's brand new, self-titled album! The album was recorded in the months of May and June by Anupam, and promises to be a landmark release in the history of Indian independent music.

The album launch will take place on August 4, 2009 with a gig at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai, with friends Workshop kicking off the event.

Undying Inc.

Undying Inc, the four-piece wrecking ball from New Delhi are now with Grey and Saurian. Having slogged it out in the scene for the better part of a decade now, the quartet broke into the top echelons of the metal fraternity a couple of years ago when they absolutely laid waste to The Mezz. Since then, they have been gigging regularly, with a few more broken bottles and bleeding noses being observed in the pits with each passing gig. One of their most memorable recent performances would be the RSJ 15th Year Anniversary party at Turquoise Cottage in February. Undying Inc teamed up with members of Delhi's legendary mosh mongers Joint Family, guest drummers from Another Vertigo Rush and Indigo Children and vocalists from Artillerie and Gates of Assault, to form an explosive 9-piece Undying Joint - and completely annihilated the venue with a cover of Slipknot's "The Blister Exists". Immediately following this was a short but intense set of Undying's own material which, needless to say, demonstrated as usual this band's incredible power on stage, particularly frontman Shashank.

Undying Inc are shortly commencing with the recording of a new full-length album with Anupam in the producer's chair. Watch this space and the website for updates. We would be lying if we said we're anything less than delighted to have these quirky metal geniuses on board with Grey and Saurian - for frankly, Scribe have proved time and again with their phenomenal live act, why they are regarded as the torchbearers for experimental heavy music from this neck of the woods.

Bhayanak Maut - metalcore monsters from Mumbai and one of the first bands to team up with Grey and Saurian - are almost set to announce their self-titled sophomore release on August 1, 2009. This is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated albums from India this year, and we are absolutely thrilled with how it's sounding so far. The tracking process is complete, and Anupam is flexing his mixing chops to the limit. Suffice to say that it will be one of the greatest metal albums to come out of India, both musically and sonically. We're stoked here, and yes you will be too.
